45sec.chat (“we”) provides random video chat. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Data we collect

• Account data when you sign in with Google (Google user id, email, name, profile picture) or with email (email address and one-time security codes used only to sign you in).
• Approximate location: we estimate your country from your IP address to power country matching and to show your country to chat partners.
• Preferences you set: gender, country search filter (who you want to meet by country), and who you want to meet by gender.
• Usage data: match sessions, extend/private requests, chat messages during a match, online presence timestamps.
• Payments: processed by Stripe. We store purchase records (tokens, amounts, Stripe session ids). We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical logs: IP-related server logs and error logs for security and debugging.
• Anonymized visit stats: for our public stats page we record roughly one visit per browser session per day. We store a hashed IP (not the raw address), approximate country, browser family, referrer host, and page path. We do not use this for advertising.

How we use data

• To authenticate you and keep your token balance.
• To match you with other users (including country and gender filters) and run video sessions via Daily.co.
• To process payments and prevent abuse.
• To publish open, aggregate traffic stats (visits, countries, browsers, referrers) on the public stats page.

Retention & deletion

We keep account and purchase records while your account is active and as needed for legal/accounting reasons. To request deletion, email support@45sec.chat from the email address on your account.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers are required to use the chat.
