Privacy Policy

45sec.chat (“we”) provides video chat, LOVE photo dating, and Chat Rooms on one account. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Data we collect
- Account data when you sign in with Google (Google user id, email, name, profile picture) or with email (email address and one-time security codes used only to sign you in).
- Profile data you enter in LOVE or Settings: username, age, country, gender, and who you want to see.
- Profile photo you upload for LOVE. We store it with our image host (Bunny.net) so other users can see it in the deck, invitations, and rooms. You can replace it in Settings.
- Room covers and room titles/descriptions you publish in Chat Rooms.
- Approximate location: we estimate your country from your IP address to power country matching and to show your country to chat partners.
- Preferences you set: gender, country search filter, who you want to meet, LOVE visibility, and email notification settings (invitation digest, private message emails).
- Usage data: match sessions, extend/private requests, likes and invitations, blocks, reports, online presence timestamps.
- Messages you send in a video-match side chat, a LOVE room, or a Chat Room.
- Payments: processed by Stripe. We store purchase records (tokens, amounts, Stripe session ids). We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical logs: IP-related server logs and error logs for security and debugging.
- Anonymized visit stats: for our public stats page we record roughly one visit per browser session per day. We store a hashed IP (not the raw address), approximate country, browser family, referrer host, and page path. Public stats also show aggregate counts (accounts, photos by gender, open rooms, likes) without identifying you. We do not use this for advertising.
How we use data
- To authenticate you and keep your token balance across 45sec.chat, LOVE, and Chat Rooms.
- To match you with other users (including country and gender filters) and run video sessions via Daily.co.
- To show your username, age, country, and photo to other users in LOVE and Chat Rooms when you take part in those products.
- To send optional email notices about invitations and private messages, according to your Settings.
- To process payments and prevent abuse.
- To publish open, aggregate traffic and community stats on the public stats page.

Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in across 45sec.chat, LOVE, and Chat Rooms (cookie domain .45sec.chat). No advertising trackers are required to use the chat.
Retention & deletion
We keep account, photo, message, and purchase records while your account is active and as needed for legal/accounting reasons. To request deletion of your account, photos, and related data, email support@45sec.chat from the email address on your account.
