Rules

By pressing Start on 45sec.chat, you agree to follow these rules. Violations may lead to immediate account suspension.

Community rules

• You must be 18 years or older.
• Keep your face clearly visible on camera while chatting.
• No nudity, sexual content, or solicitation.
• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or illegal activity.
• No spam, bots, recording others without consent, or impersonation.
• Respect Stop / decline decisions. Do not pressure others for private rooms or personal info.

Sign in

• You can sign in with Google or with a simple email (we send a one-time security code to your inbox).
• New accounts receive 150 free tokens on first sign-in.
• If you use both methods with the same email address, the accounts are linked into one. Your token balance is kept — tokens are not lost when you link Google and email login.

How a chat works

• Start — join the queue for a random video match.
• Next — end the current match and immediately search for someone new.
• Stop — leave the current chat / search and return to idle.
• Mic / Cam — mute your microphone or turn your camera off (you can turn them back on anytime).
• Full — toggle fullscreen for the video stage.
• Optional filters: Country (find people from a chosen country; leave as Any country for everyone), I am (your gender), and Looking (who you want to meet by gender).
• Your own country is detected automatically from your IP address and shown on your video as You · Country. Partners see Partner · Country.
• During a match you can send short text messages in the side chat.

Time

• A normal (roulette) match lasts 45 seconds.
• When time is almost up, the timer warns you so you can Extend or open a Private room if both of you agree.
• If nobody extends and nobody opens a private room, the match ends when the timer hits zero.

Tokens

Tokens are the in-app currency used to continue a conversation when both people agree. Free matching does not spend tokens. Tokens are spent only when you successfully start an Extend or a Private room (the person who requested it pays).

• Your balance is shown in the top bar as tokens.
• You can buy more tokens anytime on the Buy Tokens page.
• Banned accounts may lose remaining tokens without refund except where required by law.

Extend

• Costs 50 tokens.
• Adds +3 minutes to the current roulette match.
• You can extend up to 3 times per match.
• The person who presses Extend pays. The other person must press Accept (or may Decline).
• Extend is only available during a normal roulette match — not inside a private room.

Private room

• Costs 200 tokens.
• Opens a longer private session of 45 minutes.
• No further extensions inside a private room.
• The person who requests Private pays. Both users must Accept.
• If you press Stop, close the page, or leave by accident, the private room stays open until its timer ends.
• You can return from the home page using the Private rooms button in the top bar, then press Rejoin on that room.
• Leaving a private room does not end it for the other person while time remains.

Invite friends

• After you sign in, use the red Invite button in the top bar (between Private and Buy).
• You get a personal invite link. Share it via WhatsApp, Facebook, or X, or send a named email invitation from your account.
• Email invites are always sent in your name (your display name and email). Anonymous invites are not allowed.
• When someone opens your link, creates an account, and presses Start for the first time, you earn +10 tokens.
• Each new friend can reward you only once. You cannot earn tokens by inviting yourself.
• Abuse of invites (spam, fake accounts, harassment) may lead to suspension and loss of referral rewards.

Buying tokens safely

• Token purchases are processed by Stripe — a trusted payment provider. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
• Buy only through the official Buy Tokens page on 45sec.chat.
• After a successful payment, tokens are credited to the same account you are signed in with.
• If tokens do not appear within a few minutes, contact support@45sec.chat from the email on your account and include your payment time.
